A wooden chess board veneered with inlaid squares. The darker squares made from Walnut and lighter squares constructed from Maple. This would make a wonderful Chess Board for your Chess Pieces. A very high quality board made in Spain that can provide many years of use.
The Atlantic Series or more commonly known as Classic Staunton Chessmen are individually made from single blocks of solid wood, made durable to last for generations of use. This particular Staunton design is very common and popular, including a hat bishop and a staunch rook. The knights have small lined ears and a visible smile of their teeth, each and every piece evidently shows its very own character, individually carved from our artisans. Each piece is carefully weighted to prevent them getting knocked over and layered with green felt to smoothly be moved across the chess board surface. These superb chess pieces have been finished with a fine hand polish, a time consuming process that results in a lacquer free natural shine to the beautiful wood that they are carved from.
We also include a high quality Walnut veneered wooden chess box, able to house these 3 inch chessmen, the interior is felted in black to provide added protection to your chessmen.
